The Maintenance Credit

Every month part of your payment goes into a Maintenance Credit held independently for your house. You can get reimbursed from the Credit for valid maintenance/repair needs. If you are going to have an expense you want to get reimbursed for from the Maintenance Credit, you must first receive approval from Hurry Home (details on the process are below). At any time you can request an accounting of your Credit including what you have used it for and how much remains. More details about the Credit can be found in your contract.

The Maintenance Credit is intended for maintenance and repair needs that impact the house and its functions, not for upgrades or redecorating. For example, if your front door is broken, you could request approval, receive it, have it repaired, and then receive reimbursement. But if you just want to replace your front door because of its style, you would probably not be able to receive reimbursement from the Credit. If you ever have any questions about what is eligible, you can email maintenance@hurryhome.io or call. We are also happy to help you think through a budgeting plan for expenses that the Credit will not cover, including updates.

How to Access Your Maintenance Credit

There are two options to access your Maintenance Credit for a valid maintenance/repair need:

Option 1: Go through the process of getting quotes from qualified professionals

Option 2: Request Hurry Home’s help with getting quotes from qualified professionals

Option 1 will typically lead to quicker repair and reimbursement while Option 2 may result in an additional charge to your Maintenance Credit.

Option 1

  1. Take pictures of the issues (whatever needs repair)

  2. Request quotes from qualified professionals

    1. Prices can vary significantly from different services, so we suggest you get at least 3 quotes before choosing your professional

  3. Email maintenance@hurryhome.io a description of the problem and attach pictures of the issues and the quote from your preferred qualified professional

  4. Receive either approval, the reason why the request had to be rejected, or a request for more information

  5. If approved, go forward with the repair work and then email a copy of the receipt to maintenance@hurryhome.io

  6. Receive reimbursement

Option 2

  1. Take pictures of the issues (whatever needs repair)

  2. Email maintenance@hurryhome.io a description of the problem and attach pictures of the issues

  3. Receive either approval, the reason why the request had to be rejected, or a request for more information

  4. Hurry Home will contact you about scheduling estimates with one or more qualified professionals to get quotes for the required work

  5. Once a qualified professional is identified, the job will be completed

  6. Send a copy of the receipt for the work to maintenance@hurryhome.io

  7. Receive reimbursement

Reimbursement

Hurry Home will send a check made out to the preferred individual within 1-2 business days after receiving a receipt for approved maintenance/repair work. We are unable to credit the amount towards your next monthly payment at this time due to the effects it could have on credit reporting and record-keeping. If you are unable to cover the cost of the repair upfront, please explain this to Hurry Home via email - we’ll get in touch to figure out the best path forward.
